Reports are all over the internet that Ryan Newman has a verbal agreement to drive for Stewart-Haas Racing starting in 2009. First announced by ESPN, the story has been reported by Fox and several NASCAR columnists. If they are right, it looks like the Rocket will be driving the #4 Burger King Chevrolet, with a second sponsor still to be named. Newman, a fellow Hoosier, will give Stewart-Haas Racing a combined 45 wins and 53 poles, not to mention 2 Brickyard 400′s and a Daytona 500. They should make a great pair.
