Tony Stewart was at the Myers Brothers Media Luncheon today and talked about the rumors that Petty Enterprises will be merging with Gillett Evernham Motorsports due to financial/sponsorship problems. Tony is familiar with the struggle to put together sponsorship deals as he is still working to find another sponsor for Ryan Newman and the #39 Chevy. The U.S. Army will be sponsoring Ryan for 22 races next year but no sponsor has been named for the remaining races.
