Upcycle an old piece of furniture with a fresh coat of color.
Step 1: Clean
Properly clean piece of furniture to remove any dust or dirt.
Step 2: Sand
Use sanding block to lightly scuff surface of furniture piece.
Step 3: Remove Dust
Tack cloth helps remove extra dust from sanding process.
Step 4: Paint
Evenly brush BEHR® Chalk Decorative Paint on entire surface of furniture piece and let dry. May require a second coat for solid coverage.
Step 5: Wax
Apply BEHR® Wax Decorative Finish with a soft cloth in a circular motion on surface of furniture piece. We used clear wax for a satin finish. A dark wax will highlight furniture details for an antiqued look.
Step 6: Buff
Gently buff furniture surface when dry. Wax will help seal and protect chalk decorative paint.
Step 7: Allow to Dry
Though the piece will be dry after two hours, we recommend allowing it to dry overnight before its first use.
Step 8: Enjoy!
When ready, set your refreshed piece in its new home and enjoy!
