Stewart Starting 5th In Saturdays Nationwide Race

DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA —  Two time Busch Series champion Kevin Harvick will start on the first pole for Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series Camping World 300.

Joining Harvick on the front row will be Matt Kenseth.

It is the 18th career series pole for Harvick, who won the Busch Series title in both 2001 and 2006.

“I want to thank all the guys that worked on the car,” said Harvick, who won this race in 2007. “We worked on handling all offseason. This sport is all about the details, and we worked on those details. The guys gave me a great car.”

Reigning Nationwide champion Clint Bowyer qualified third in a Chevrolet and will start alongside Jason Leffler’s Toyota.

Tony Stewart, who won this race last season from the pole, starts fifth in a Chevrolet. He is joined in the third row by the Ford of 2002 Busch Series champion Greg Biffle.
