Newman’s car will pay tribute to U.S. Army Reserve in Texas
FORT WORTH, Texas – Ryan Newman’s No. 39 U.S. Army Chevrolet will pay tribute to the men and women of the Army Reserve in the Samsung Mobile 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race Saturday, at Texas Motor Speedway. The paint scheme on the hood and rear-quarter panel of Newman’s car will showcase Army Reserve. Since the U.S. Army Reserves was founded in 1908, Reserve Soldiers have received the same training as active-duty Soldiers and have had the opportunity to serve near home until they are needed to deploy. ATLANTA – Sporting a paint scheme that will pay tribute to the U.S. Army Reserve, NASCAR driver Ryan Newman and the No. 39 Stewart-Haas Racing team are looking to draw upon their own reserve heading into Sunday night’s Emory Healthcare 500 Sprint Cup race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
