Tony Stewart wants Cup Series to race on Watkins Glen’s boot

Newman Finishes 12th in Watkins Glen; Gains in Points

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. – U.S. Army crew chief Tony Gibson said it best following Ryan Newman’s 12th-place finish in Sunday’s Sprint Cup road race at Watkins Glen International. “Today was a huge points day- we’re back in the (Chase) hunt,” shouted Gibson on the team radio after Newman’s No. 39 Chevrolet took the checkered flag in the Heluva Good!
